Can these be re-sharpened?
Question by: Ordie Wilkinson on Oct 29, 2023, 9:52 AM
Any flush trim bit would not be a candidate for resharpening, when being sharpened you would be removing material from the cutting surface, which would make the cutting surface smaller than the guide bearing. Thus making it no longer able to flush cut. You can do a light hone on the bit but once dull it's simply time to replace the bit.

Can the guide bearing be removed to use these as plunge CNC bits?
Question by: Don Johnson on Oct 29, 2023, 10:33 AM
The bearing can be removed, however, the bits are not designed for that type of operation and we do not recommend them for use for plunging in on a workpiece.

What is the ID of the 1/4" bearing on the 85-221 bit? I'm looking for a flush trim bit with 1/4" cutter diameter that will accommodate both 1/4" and 3/4" bearings.
Question by: Bud Nesbit on Mar 9, 2024, 9:01 PM
The ID of the bearing is 1/8"
